Construction on the KESKUS International Estonian Centre at 9 Madison Avenue has begun and the ceremonial groundbreaking will take place on Friday, April 8th, rain or shine on the KESKUS site, 9 Madison Avenue, Toronto.
All are invited to this momentous occasion, to together mark the start of construction of the first Estonian centre built outside of Estonia in over half a century.
The Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Ambassador Toomas Lukk, Councillor Mike Layton and project leads will provide greetings, starting at 1230h. Gathering will begin at noon.
KESKUS will reflect who Estonians are today, with a modern, purpose built architectural landmark. It will be will be a dynamic hub showcasing our rich heritage and promoting Estonian innovation. It will be a vibrant gathering place for Estonians of all generations and backgrounds to connect, celebrate, and share our culture and achievements with each other and the world.
