Update / Teade # 247
Steel going up, heritage house restoration continues!
Erection of the steel that was poised to start at the beginning of the month with the arrival of the crane has proceeded on schedule with much of the structural steel framework in place. May will see progress on the North and South galleries and the shape of Estonia emerge in the steel. If you are in the area, come for a site tour 11am-noon on May 25th (weather and site condition dependant).
Parts of the heritage wing of KESKUS, are emerging from behind the scaffolding, with the masonry beautifully restored. Some of the brick was able to be retained and the variations and inclusions in those with charming fragments of seashells, even, still match beautifully with the new brick. The stonework along the foundation has been masterfully recreated. /// Tellingute tagant paistavad välja KESKUSe muinsuskaitse all oleva tiiva osad, mille müüritis on kaunilt restaureeritud. Osa telliseid suudeti säilitada ning nende variatsioonid ja lisandid koos võluvate merekarpide fragmentidega sobivad uute tellistega kaunilt kokku. Vundamendiäärne müüritis on meisterlikult taastatud.

Inside, work continues in the basement area behind the heritage house with electrical and mechanical system installations. /// Keldrikorrusel soojas, jätkuvad elektri- ja mehaaniliste süsteemide paigaldustööd.
TTC's is progressing its waterproofing and remediation work of the eastern portion of the tunnels that are now under grade beams. This work continues independently of the KESKUS overall schedule.
