Construction update June 2025

Update / Teade # 250

Steel erection going apace, heritage house restoration continues

Erection of the steel has proceeded on schedule generally, with minor delay due to wet weather - June will see final progress on the North and South galleries and the shape of Estonia will have emerged in the steel. The decks of the floors are scheduled to begin in July. Check out the excitement the site tours generated, via the KESKUS blog: www.estoniancentre.ca/news-events, with community members seeing the progress and the scope of the project with their own eyes. /// Teraskonstruktsiooni talade ja postide paigaldus on üldjoontes graafikus, väikese viivitusega vihmase ilma tõttu - juunis jõuavad põhja- ja lõunagaleriide viimased etapid lõpule ning Eesti kaardi kuju on terasega ilmunud. Põrandatega alustatakse juulis. Vaadake KESKUS-i blogis aadressil www.estoniancentre.ca/news-events, kuidas objektiekskursioonid tekitasid elevust - oma silm on kuningas!.

Restoration of the heritage wing of KESKUS is coming along beautifully, with a return of the window arches among other work, to return the building into the context of the West Annex Heritage District.. /// KESKUSe muinsuskaitse all oleva tiiva restaureerimine edeneb plaanikohaselt, muuhulgas on tööd käimas aknakaarte taastamisega, et hoone taas West Annexi muinsuskaitse all oleva piirkonda taas sobiks.

TTC's is progressing its waterproofing and remediation work of the eastern portion of the tunnels that are now under grade beams. This work continues independently of the KESKUS overall schedule.  /// TTC on tunnelite idapoolse osa hüdroisolatsiooniks ja korrastamiseks, mis toimub talade all ja ei mõjuta KESKUSE üldgraafikut.

KESKUS International Estonian Centre in downtown Toronto will be a dynamic hub showcasing our rich heritage and promoting Estonian innovation.
