Heili Toome, International Estonian Centre Inc. board chair tossed two coins into the first foundation pour on the KESKUS site on February 1, 2022 - a Canadian loonie and an Estonian 50 euro cent coin! /// Heili Toome, International Estonian Centre nõukogu esinaine oli KESKUSe objektil kohal kui esimene betoon valati KESKUSe vundamendiks, ja ta lisas segusse nii Kanada kui ka Eesti münte.
With the deep foundation work completed on the KESKUS site on Madison Avenue in downtown Toronto, excavation around the heritage building is now underway and the concrete is being poured to reinforce that excavation, before advancing south toward the TTC tunnels. /// Süvavundamendi tööd on lõpuni jõudnud ja kaevetööd KESKUSe objektil mis asub Toronto südalinnas Madison avenüül jätkavad täie auruga. Kaevatöödega alustatakse muinsuskaitse all osaga ja suundutakse metrootunnelite poole.
The heritage house will be fully integrated and part of the KESKUS project and underpinning the building is the next step in the critical path of construction. Once this building is reinforced, the foundation will be lowered. /// Muinsuskaitse all olev hoone millest saab KESKUSesse integreeritud vajab tugevdamist kaevetööde käigus.
The ugly duckling of a basement in the below video will gorgeous when the walls and floors are replaced, and function as a business centre in KESKUS! Check out the welding in the construction video - the wailers (the horizontal connectors between the shoring piles) are now completed too! /// Ehkki keldrikorrus praegu sarnaneb inetu pardipojale, kui selle seinad ja põrand saavad uuendet, siis selles asub vajalikud teenused KESKUSe tegevuse toetuseks, nt. paljundusmasin ja koosoleku ruumid.
