KESKUS rooftop, glazing & elevator prep front & centre

Jumbo glass installation is in its next stage of preparation with the installation of the steel glass fasteners which include the bottom shoe for each pane. This shoe will ensure that the glass will lie plumb and allow for fine-tuning for alignment once in place. As this exercise is like placing teeth into a mouth, the alignment must be precise. There are no frames or mullions that provide wiggle room. /// Hiigelklaaside paigaldus on jõudnud järgmisse ettevalmistusetappi – paigaldatakse terasest klaasikinnitid, sealhulgas iga klaaspaneeli alumine kinnitus (“king”). The eastern wall of KESKUS foundation has been backfilled with gravel to provide the foundation for scaffolding to support the application of the exterior cladding. /// KESKUSe vundamendi idasein on täidetud killustikuga, et luua alus tellingutele, mis toetavad välisvoodri paigaldamist.
The HVAC ducting work in the basement is progressing fast, as it is on the 3rd floor - these are the two floors in which most this work is required. Fireproofing now completed in the core and will be completed in the perimeter areas with the warming weather so to keep ahead of other work that is advancing quickly in those areas. /// Keldris edeneb ventilatsioonikanalite paigaldus kiiresti, samuti kolmandal korrusel – need on kaks korrust, kus seda tööd on kõige enam. And what of the elevator? With the fireproofing completed the insulation for the shaft wall is being installed and the elevator itself is scheduled to arrive shortly. Naming rights to the elevator are still available for the right donor! /// Aga lift? On the rooftop, the Garden Lobby parapet work is now completed just in time for the roofing contractor. The roof curbs to isolate the main air handling units for the Centre will be hoisted to the roof in the first days of April to allow delivery and installation to site of those main units. /// Katusel on Garden Lobby parapeti tööd nüüd lõpetatud, just õigel ajal katuseehitajale. Colour samples for the stucco exterior cladding on the south, east and north faces of the building are now approved by Kongats Architects. /// Hoone lõuna-, ida- ja põhjafassaadi krohvviimistluse värvinäidised on nüüd Kongats Architects poolt heaks kiidetud.
The first four 20' containers of paverstone materials are en route from Saaremaa, Estonia and the remaining eight containers will follow as the stone is cut and honed to spec.
