KESKfEST: A city-wide cultural campus

Celebrate our unstoppable culture & spirit

KESKfEST

This August 20-23, Toronto transforms into a dynamic cultural campus for the global Estonian diaspora. The KESKUS teams and construction crews are working flat out to get KESKUS International Estonian Centre, our permanent home finished as fast as they can—it’s a true hive of activity!

To give the crews the uninterrupted space they need to triumphantly cross that finish line, our main festival events will take place at the KESKfEST festival tent and partner venues across the city.

This moment belongs to all of us—KESKUS is being built by the donations, stories, and collective will of our steadfast global community.  All programming is going ahead as planned, with Grand Hall activities taking place in the KESKfEST Festival Tent across the street.

KESKfEST program FAQ

Q: Where can I find out about events happening during KESKfEST?

A: The complete, real-time schedule is here, including all event details, locations, timing, and current ticket or registration status. Full schedule updates made frequently.

Q: How do I purchase tickets or register for events?

A: Ticketing and event registration details are continuing to come available on the KESKUS website.  Please note that many events require advance registration/tickets to comply with venue safety and capacity limits; walk-up access is not guaranteed.

Q: What accommodations are available for travel and booking?

A: Local options near our city-wide campus corridor include Tartu College, the Kimpton Saint George, and the Royal Sonesta - booking codes and links at www.estoniancentre.ca/keskfest

Q: What is the KESKfEST festival tent?

A: The KESKfEST festival tent is our central "homebase," located right across the street from KESKUS. It is a massive, air-conditioned, fully accessible space designed with step-free access and flexible seating. Don't worry about the weather forecast; we have it ‘covered’!

Q: Can I see the new KESKUS building?

A: Yes of course, this is what KESKfEST is all about, our "veidi veel" or "homestretch" to celebrate KESKUS!  To ensure our crews can triumphantly cross the finish line without the costly interruptions of remobilization, broader interior access is via scheduled hardhat tours. These tours, both inside and out, will give you a chance to safely experience our collective construction progress at this historic home stretch.

Q: Who are the youth delegates?

A: The KESKfEST youth delegation is a hand-picked group of global Estonian emerging leaders—students, artists, professionals, and activists—joining us from around the world. During the festival, they serve as our operational ambassadors and active storytellers, hosting key events and capturing the energy of this historic "homestretch" phase. Read more here and get to know them here.

One festival. Multiple venues. Our shared cultural future.
