The Tallinn Chamber Choir is committed to preserving and promoting Estonian choral music both at home and abroad. Founded in 1962 as an experimental choir, the ensemble was established with the goal of performing new works by Estonian composers. It is Estonia's first chamber choir and today, under the direction of conductors Heli Jürgenson and Kärolin Tuisk, more than 30 dedicated singers continue that legacy. The choir has performed on domestic and international stages, including appearances at international choral festivals and concert tours to Portugal, Norway, and Israel. The Tallinn Chamber Choir has received several major awards and distinctions, including the Grand Prix at the Estonian Chamber Choir Festival in 2020 and shared first place at the same festival in 2024.  The Estonian National Opera Boys’ Choir is one of Estonia’s leading youth choral ensembles, dedicated to promoting the tradition of boys’ singing and developing their musical abilities. The group of 150 talented young singers frequently participates in international choral festivals and projects organized by the Estonian National Opera, including the 5th International Boys’ Choirs Festival in Riga, the Cantemus Choral Festival in Nyíregyháza, Saaremaa Opera Days, and many others. Members also regularly appear in Estonian National Opera productions, including Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” and Puccini’s “Tosca.” Notable soloists have also performed with the choir, including Aile Asszonyi, Evelin Ojalo, and Oliver Kuusik. The choir has received numerous national and international accolades. These include being named “Choir of the Year” by the Estonian Choral Association in both 2015 and 2018, first place at both the Estonian Male Choir Association’s Choir Competition and the Llangollen Choir Competition in Wales, as well as gold prizes at choir competitions in Czechia and Hungary. In 2019, the choir was awarded the Grand Prix and a special prize for Best Performance of Sacred Music at the International Sacred Music Festival in Petrozavodsk. The Mägi Ensemble, from Seattle, is a professional treble vocal ensemble dedicated to performing and recording choral music from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. A core pillar of the ensemble’s mission is advocating for new works from the Baltic region, with a special emphasis on women-identifying composers. Celebrated for its cultural advocacy, the ensemble has performed for visiting Baltic ambassadors, former Latvian President Andris Bērziņš, and former Estonian President Toomas Ilves. The group has been featured at national and divisional conferences for the American Choral Directors Association and the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies. Notable international appearances include the Lithuanian National Song Festival, the Sacred Music Concert of the Latvian National Song Festival, and selection for the Estonian National Song Festival. The Mägi Ensemble has also performed at the Arvo Pärt Centre and on Latvian and Estonian national television. Their third album, Baltic Home, is now available on all streaming platforms and here.
