Construction update April 2024

Update / Teade # 211

KESKUS International Estonian Centre construction is now working toward starting the 1-year countdown clock to opening day.

The TTC work over the western half of the exposed subway tunnels is complete, the enclosure has been down and the tunnels waterproofed and are backfilled. /// TTC tööd metrootunnelite kallal objekti läänepoolses osas on lõpetatud, soojuse hoidmiseks telk on maha võetud ning tunnelid on hüdroisoleeritud ja kinni kaetud.

Excavation on the eastern half of the tunnels and the southeast corner of the site is underway, clearing the path for forming the grade beams spanning the tunnels. The second phase of the TTC restoration work (eastern half of the tunnel) will begin immediately, starting with the consultant inspection and renewing the design drawings for this second phase. /// Käimas on kaevetööd tunnelite idapoolses pooles ja objekti kagunurgas, mille käigus puhastatakse pinda tunnelite ületavad talade jaoks. Kohe algab TTC taastamistööde teine etapp (tunneli idapoolne pool), konsultandi ülevaatusega ja selle järgmise tööetapi jooniste uuendamisega.

The eastern half of the ground floor slab behind the heritage house is being poured during the first days of April. Rebar preparation of the basement of the heritage building is underway, for the new structural foundation floor and walls. Work continues for the connection between the existing basement and the new portion of KESKUS.

Muinsuskaitsealuse maja taga asuva esimese korruse põrandaplaadi idapoolne valamine toimub aprilli esimestel päevadel. Käimas on muinsuskaitsealuse hoone keldri sarruse ettevalmistus, uue struktuurse vundamendi põranda ja seinte jaoks. Jätkuvad tööd olemasoleva keldri ja KESKUSe uue osa ühendamiseks.
